Our Story
Meet the Founder
#HUMAN was founded by Nikki, who first entered the industry as a parent of two children with additional needs. Through her personal journey, she saw firsthand the importance of genuine, consistent, and person-centred support.
Nikki has worked alongside multiple charities, promoting acceptance and inclusion, and has built a strong reputation for compassion and advocacy. While working in the sector, she noticed a recurring issue: not every support worker is the right match for a participant. Too often, providers were simply filling a gap, rather than building the right connection.
That’s why Nikki launched #HUMAN Support Worker Provider, alongside her close work with TARS (Triple A Recovery Services) where she continues as a Recovery Coach Practitioner.
#HUMAN is built on a holistic, personal approach not just filling shifts, but creating meaningful matches.
We believe that when the right support worker is matched with the right participant, people feel understood, heard, and valued. They gain the confidence to reach their goals. A revolving door of support workers can lead to extra stress and anxiety so at #HUMAN, we take the time to make the right connection.
Nikki has completed her Youth Work and Counselling course and her Diploma of Mental Health. She brings over 15 years of lived experience both personal and within her familywhich guides her work with compassion, understanding and real-life insight.
